Dermal Fillers
As the skin ages it will begin to lose elasticity and volume. Dermal Fillers are used to regain fullness, definition and to tackle fines line and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance. The most common areas for treatment are the cheeks which begin to hollow, the lips which thin with age, and around the mouth and jawline.
About Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers are a non-invasive treatment with no downtime. We use a range of filler products which are administered using a fine needle to plump the areas where the skin has begun to lose collagen due to age, sun exposure, air pollution and even stress.
The Treatment
Soft Tissue filler is injected into the skin to fill and add volume. Most fillers are temporary and eventually absorbed by the body, so treatment will be required periodically as needed. Injections are relatively pain free although topical or injectable local anaesthetic is often used to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
Risks & Complications
There are few risks associated to Dermal Filler treatment. The most common side effects are temporary and can include redness and bruising around the injection site. Occasionally patients may experience swelling, although this will be localised and will subside quickly.
