Muscle Relaxing Treatments
Botox is a simple and non invasive treatment designed to smooth lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance. Commonly Botox is used for the face around the forehead, glabella (between the eyebrows), around the eye (crows feet), around the mouth, and neck areas.
However, the same toxin can be used to treat Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) in the underarm, on the palms of the hands and for the soles of the feet.
Botox injections are relatively pain free, treatment is fast with no downtime and the results can be seen within a few weeks of the procedure.
Risks & Complications
Due to the small measures of the toxin being used there are few risks associated to Botox injections. The most common side effects are temporary and can include redness and bruising around the injection site. Occasionally patients may experience swelling, although this will be localised and will susbide quickly.
